I’m Nick, the owner of Nick’s Tech Fix. This notice explains what I do with information you send through this website. It covers website inquiries; access to a device or account during a service visit is limited by the separate authorization we agree on for that job.
Information I collect
When you submit the request form, I collect your name, email address or phone number, city, county, requested service, and the details you choose to provide. My website host and email provider may also process basic technical information needed to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and send your request, such as an IP address, browser information, and request logs.
Please do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers, financial account details, health information, or copies of identification through the form, email, or text.
How I use information
I use your information to respond, decide whether I can help, prepare or schedule a service, communicate about the work, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain business and tax records, and meet legal obligations. Submitting a request does not subscribe you to marketing messages.
When information is shared
I do not sell your personal information. I share it only as needed with providers that operate this website and deliver the request, currently Vercel for hosting, Resend for email delivery, and Google for the analytics described below; with a supplier or specialist when you ask me to and approve it; or when disclosure is required to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or address fraud or abuse. Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to understand visits, pages viewed, and interactions, including visits to the request confirmation page. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions and processes technical information such as browser and device details and approximate location. Google Signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in the website configuration. I do not add the names, email addresses, phone numbers, or help-request details you enter in the form to Analytics events. The hosting provider may also use essential technical storage or logs to operate and protect the service. You can block cookies in your browser or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Retention and security
I keep inquiry information only as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide service, maintain required business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. I use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no website, email system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask me to correct or delete website inquiry information that I still hold, subject to records I must retain for transactions, taxes, security, or legal obligations. You may also ask what contact information I have. I will take reasonable steps to verify a request before acting on it.
Children
This website is intended for adults requesting household or business technology services. I do not knowingly collect website inquiries from children under 13.
Changes to this notice
If I materially change these practices, I will update this page and its effective date.
