In-home computer repair and PC training

I bring clear, patient tech help to you.

I troubleshoot slow or unreliable computers, install upgrades, set up home technology, and teach you how to use it—at your kitchen table, desk, or small office.

Based in the unincorporated Greater Katy area, with house calls within 20 driving miles by appointment.

Slow or unstable PC?I diagnose performance, malware, update, and startup problems.
New device or upgrade?I handle setup, file transfers, RAM, SSDs, printers, and Wi-Fi.
Want to feel confident?I teach computer and phone skills one-on-one, at your pace.

How I can help

Practical help for the technology you use every day.

I focus on Windows computers, home-office equipment, and patient instruction. I explain the options before I begin and get your approval before I buy parts or add work.

Computer repair

I troubleshoot slow PCs, crashes, startup trouble, malware concerns, Windows errors, and failed updates.

Hardware upgrades

I install compatible RAM, SSDs, batteries, screens, and desktop components after you approve the written estimate.

Home tech setup

I set up new computers, printers, routers, Wi-Fi, backups, accounts, and file transfers.

One-on-one training

I help with computer basics, phones, photos, video calls, files, passwords, and safer everyday habits.

You work directly with me

I want you to understand the fix—not just receive a bill.

I’m Nick, the owner and technician behind Nick’s Tech Fix. I come to you, work carefully around your home or office, and explain what I find in plain language.

Clear scopeI confirm the service, likely time, price, and any travel charge before the appointment.
Approval firstI do not buy parts or expand the work without your approval.
Privacy-mindedI only access files or accounts needed for the work, and I never ask you to send a password through this website.

What to expect

A straightforward house call.

1

Tell me what is happening

Send the device type, symptoms, your city, and the best way to reach you. Please do not send passwords.

2

I confirm the appointment

I confirm the likely service, starting price, typical time, address, and any travel charge before we schedule.

3

I diagnose, fix, or teach

I work through the agreed scope, explain important choices, and provide an itemized invoice for labor, parts, and tax.

Popular starting prices

Know the likely cost before I arrive.

These are service subtotals before applicable Texas sales tax. Parts and software are separate. If a job combines repair, data transfer, and training, I separate those lines on the invoice so the correct tax treatment is clear.
